The Discovering Chapter one. By:Makayla k. mcdade. From the Wizarding series: book 1

Prologue.
This is a story of a mako [which in the ancient times of magic translated to hero] that saves a kingdom called Tanlon from an evil sorcerer named Guylest. This victory came with a heavy price, his life. He and his two companions set their powers free to look for worthy blood lines to prepare for Guylest's return in one thousand years from then. The powers came to rest in three young teenagers, with out them knowing.

Chapter 1

Jayson! Wake up! Shouted Mrs. Fig. [Jayson's mom] Breakfast is ready!
Jayson forced himself out of bed and down to the kitchen. I'm coming! He shouted. He walked in to the kitchen, where his nine year old little sister Mary greeted him.
Happy birth day. She said. How does it feel being thirteen, you old timer.
Good, I guess. He replied. When Jayson made it to the table his mom, dad, and Mary sang happy birth day to him, as his mother plated up giant syrupy pancakes. After breakfast he went up stairs and got ready for school. He brushed his short brown hair out of his face and put a pair of jeans and a blue t-shirt with a pair of old sneakers that used to be his dad's on. He then said good bye to his family and met one of his best friends “Rachel” outside of his house.
Happy birth day! She said as Jayson shut the front door to his house. Happy thirteen birth day to you too. He said. Are you ready to pick up Thomas and wish him a happy birth day as well? Thomas was their other best friend. Sure. Answered Rachel.
I still can't believe we all were born on the same day.
At that they went to Thomas's house. They all lived in the same neighborhood together and their houses weren't that far from each other.
Thomas was just leaving his home when they arrived. Happy birth day! Shouted Rachel& Jayson at the same time. You too! He replied. Are you ready for school? Sure. Answered Rachel. The three friends then walked to school. They passed by their neighbor Mr Gary's house.

In front of his yard was a sign that read yard sale.

Hey kids happy birth day! He shouted. I have something for you. They went up to the elderly man's yard. They had known Gary their whole lives,
He had moved in to the neighborhood the day they were born. He reached under a table [ which was filled with old records] and pulled out three boxes.
He gave Thomas a purple box, Rachel a green one, and Jayson a blue one.
Thomas opened his first. Inside his box was a chemistry set, Rachel had gotten a music box, and Jayson received a book called the hero. You are welcome.
He said. Now for a before school snack. At that Gary went inside. The three friends admired their gifts while Gary poured lemonade into four glasses and plated up some peanut butter cookies. They each had a cup with their names labeled to them. They ate their snacks quickly and left for school. Jayson began to feel light headed as they walked up to west eagle[their school].
He didn't mention it to any one because he was hoping that it would pass soon.
Thomas and Rachel went to biology together while Jayson went to his math class.
When Jayson got their not much of his head ache went away. By the end of his class his vision began to get blurry. He went down the hall where a long mirror was before the rest of the school came.

His class had gotten out early. When he looked in the mirror he saw that the color was draining from his face.
Am I sick? He thought. Should I go to the nurse? He stood there a second and notice that he was getting cold but it was warm inside the school.
The bell then rang and the rest of the school came out. He went to the rest of his classes without another big change. It wasn't until lunch that he saw Rachel and Thomas again. Hey. Said Rachel as the three friends sat down to lunch.
Are you okay Jayson?
Yeah. He replied. It was then he started to notice his hearing beginning to fade.
Are you sure? Asked Thomas. You look a little pale. Jayson just nodded. Maybe you should see the nurse. Suggested Rachel. I'm fine. Said Jayson. You don't need to worry. I'm just a little light headed that's all.
At that they finished eating. For the rest of school no more changes came. It wasn't until his last class that the next major change came.
Thomas and Jayson had history together and Rachel was across from them in English.
During class Jayson had all but gone blind. He was getting to feel like he could faint at any moment.
When class had finally ended he and Thomas stood outside of the class room and waited for Rachel's class to end. When she had finally came out Jayson began to collapse. She got over to him just as he fell and helped Thomas catch him. They ran through the school and the neighborhood carrying Jayson with out being noticed.

They got to his home within thirty-five minuets. No one was there. His parents were at work and his sister was at a sleep-over with one of her friends.
They took him upstairs to his room. Thomas began to research what Jayson might have on the computer in Jayson's room, while Rachel called 911 and his parents. His parents and the ambulance should be here in twenty minuets. Said Rachel. Have you found anything? No. He replied. I have not.

Could you help me get Jayson down stairs to the living room? She asked. I think it would be easier for the paramedics if he was down stairs. Thomas nodded and helped Rachel get Jayson down stairs to the living room.
They put him on the couch and waited in silence for help. His parents arrived two minuets before the ambulance. How is he? Asked Mr. Fig. We don't know. Replied Rachel. But we checked his temperature and it's on hundred and twenty. We have no idea as to what he has. His mother and father waited by his side. When the ambulance arrived, Mr Fig rode in it to the hospital with Jayson and Mrs. Fig drove Thomas and Rachel there in her s.u.v.. As soon as they got there Jayson was rushed into the E.R.. Once he was there Thomas and Rachel called their parents and told them about Jayson.
They said that they would be there in the hour. Mr And Mrs. Thompson were Rachel's parents and the Williams were Thomas's parents.
When they arrived the doctors still were with Jayson. The other moms went to comfort Jayson's mom.

The dads sat by themselves and suffered in silence.
Thomas and Rachel were scared to death of what might happen to their friend.
The doctors came out after an hour and gave the news on Jayson. I am afraid I have bad news. Said Dr. Song.
He had a concerned look his face. He is getting worse by the hour and if the illness keeps at this rate we'll have to start using machine by the end of the week. Everyone's eyes widened as the doctor explained what was going on. You may go and visit him in groups but each group only get's ten minuets at a time. Jayson's parents went first and then Rachel and Thomas.
After his parents came out they called the rest of his friends and informed the school of his sickness.
Dr. Song was right Jayson was getting worse. Rachel and Thomas stood in shock as they looked upon their friend. Jayson was almost completely pale and looked lifeless. Rachel went over to the sick boy and touched his hand but pulled back quickly because of how cold it was. Do think he will be alright? Asked Rachel. I don't know. Replied Thomas. I hope so. I wonder if he can hear us. Said Rachel. I highly doubt it. He replied. But maybe. Thomas and Rachel looked like they had already lost him. They didn't talk much during this visit and soon their time was up. After their visit the doctor had to call in foreign help because they could not figure out what Jayson's illness was. After awhile the Thompson and the Williams had to leave so that his parents could stay with him for the rest of the night without having to worry about anyone else.
Chapter 2

Thomas and Rachel went back with their family’s and didn't do much else but worry for their friend.
Rachel and Thomas had decided to take the bus to school. They sat next to each other and didn't speak to anyone the whole way including each other.
When they arrived they were flocked by every kid in the school who had ever even saw Jayson in any way. Thomas saw how uncomfortable Rachel was on the subject. He told everyone that they had nothing more to say and pushed through everyone and finally made it to their classes. All during their lunch break they searched every medical website for some answer to what was going on with Jayson.

They found absolutely nothing at all as to what was wrong with their friend. They planned on visiting Jayson after school had ended. School seemed to drag on with no more concern from the other students and very little from the teachers. I hope he's doing better today. Said Rachel. I mean I’m not expecting a fast acting miracle or anything but that would be nice. All I want is for him to be okay. Me too. Replied Thomas. Maybe he will be better today. I think that they would have called us. He replied. His parents know how much he is to us.
So either he is better or he is the same or he is even worse and they want to tell us in person. She said. When school had finally ended they raced to the hospital. There were even more people this time and it seemed like everyone in the waiting room was there for Jayson. Everyone had gotten ten extra minuets as long as you went in in groups of two or more.

The main reason for this is that the doctors didn't think he could make it any longer then a week or so. When Thomas and Rachel finally made in for their visit they discovered that Jayson had been hooked up with machines early. His fever had been rising and going back down again to one hundred fifteen and it looked like even more of his color had drained from him. He looks even worse then before. Whispered Rachel. I know. Replied Thomas. It's awful what he's having to go through. What if he really can hear us? She replied. I don't think he'd be calm having to listen to everyone saying of awful he looks and them talking about how long he really has. So today let's try and keep it light. Maybe we can read him his book he got on his birth day. Thomas wiped a tear away from under his glasses. Okay. He replied.
I guess so, Rachel went through Jayson's black back pack and pulled out the hero.
Rachel and Thomas sat in the chairs that were on either side of Jayson.
Rachel pulled back her semi-long auburn hair out of her face and began to read the book.
Once “a long time ago” an evil sorcerer named Guylest created an evil army of dark wizards, who had the power to conjure spells and enchantresses could conjure only some spells their main ability to manipulate people other objects and anything else they want. And another were breakers [when good they are referred to as healers], can heal and poison other people as well as having a good memory with potions and other things. Guylest called his soldiers darklings. He used his evil followers to invade the hidden realm of Tanlon. He burned homes and destroyed the kingdom to almost nothing.

Guylest was winning his fights aginst the Tanlon soldiers and thought nothing could stop him.
It wasn't until the mako,Tukon, showed up that things changed. [A mako is the strongest and powerful wizard ever, they only appear every now and then, they had powers that no other magical being had]. With him were his companions the enchantress, Linwonk, and the healer, Ponton,.
Linwonk and Ponton had the most power any of the others but Tukon.
They fought with Guylest for hours. Poton and Linwonk dealt with the darklings while Tukon fought with Guylest.
The army of darklings was almost vanished all that was left was Guylest.
Tukon was knocked down and got hurt seriously and didn't know how long he could last.
He took the final blow on his feet but before he fell he cast one last curse that bannished Guylest and the rest of his army to the dark forest for one thousand years. He also placed a spell on the kingdom of Tanlon that would put them in a reserved sleep as long as Guylest wasn't around. He wanted for them to see their victory. After Guylest was pulled into the forest, he fell before Linwonk and Ponton.
they kept them awake so that they could help him. Ponton could not heal him, his wounds were to deep. He asked Linwonk to remove their powers and set them on a search for one thousand years to make sure a worthy blood line is found. Linwonk and Ponton agreed and Linwok then made a large sphere and touched it to each of their foreheads. She released it in to the sky to search for the worthy blood lines.

After Tukon passed the enchantress and the healer finished the preparations for the new mako.
No more records were found on Linwonk and Ponton after that. People have tried to find information on them but found nothing on the subjects.
Wow. Said Thomas, once Rachel had finished reading. The story almost seemed true.
I hope Jayson heard it and enjoyed it. She replied. They stayed and talked to him and each other fighting back tears until their visiting time was up. They didn’t stay long at the hospital after their visit because more and more of Jayson's relatives arrived.
Rachel and Thomas decided that they would visit him more tomorrow.

Later on that day they decided to go research books on anything that might help Jayson at the library. They searched all through the medical books, D.V.D's ,C.D.'s and anything else they could find and brought them back to Rachel's house. They spread everything out on the dinning room table down stairs and looked over everything.
The two friends looked for hours and hours but came across nothing that would work with what ever Jayson had. Still no one had any idea on what he had. There's nothing here! Shouted Thomas. Calm down. Said Rachel. We'll figure this out. There are tons of doctors and specialists working on it as we speak. You know Rachel we've been friends for years all of us, even when you had no other friends, and I thought you would at least are enough to try and figure out what's wrong with Jayson. But I guess I was wrong. It seems like you don't care about him at all. He replied. Me and you were never very popular like he was and is but he hung out with us anyways. He stuck up for us and you don't even care. She was stunned at Thomas's words. How dare you even think that I don't care. Said Rachel. If anyone cares it's me! I think you need to leave Thomas. Her eyes filled with tears as she said this. Thomas was shocked that he had said that to her but didn't take it back. He just walked out the front door and left for his house to think. Rachel continued searching through the books and listening and watching the tapes until midnight came. She woke up early and barley ate breakfast and went to school on the bus.
She sat as far as she could from Thomas instead she sat next to her other friend Molly.
She had asked her to come with her to visit Jayson. Molly had said yes because she hadn't seen Jayson since he was at school the day he collapsed. So how is he doing? She asked. You'll just have to see him. Replied Rachel. But he's not like what you remember. He's lost most of his color and warmth and his heart beat is fading and the doctors have no idea what's wrong with him. Molly didn't ask about him any more the rest of the way to school. School was even worse this time. Thomas didn't really have anyone else he wanted to be around[he had other friends but he wasn't in the mood to talk]. During lunch, Rachel sat with Molly and her friends. Rachel had never met them before and she kept to her self, Sometimes she would answer a random question about Jayson or herself but that was it.
The eight hours of school felt like a life time and with no one really to talk to. Rachel left with Molly to the hospital to visit her sick friend.
Chapter 3
They arrived just after Thomas had put his bike in the bike rack. He walked right in ignoring the sight of Rachel. What's his problem? Asked Molly. It's nothing we just got in to a small fight is all. Replied Rachel. I guess we're just stressed and nervous. At that they walked into the hospital without talking to Thomas. First Thomas got to visit and didn't stay for his full twenty minuets. It was more like ten because Jayson had gotten worse and more machines were added. It was to painful to even see. In the past night his heart almost gave out twice and the doctors are thinking about surgery.
Thomas came out looking crushed and hurt. He left with only one look at Rachel and her friend.
Rachel and Molly went next. Rachel felt the same pain as Thomas had felt when he had saw him. Tears filled her eyes almost instantly. Molly didn't really feel the same. She was worried but she wasn't as close to him as Rachel and Thomas. Rachel tried to stay but she eventually left within eighteen minuets. The two girls didn't talk on the way back to their homes. Molly lived a street away from Rachel,Thomas, and Jayson. Rachel went to her room and called Thomas. She felt awful about their fight and needed someone who shared the same pain to talk to.
He didn't answer until the second time she had called him. Her calls were ten minuets apart.
Hello. He answered. Rachel? What do you need? Can you come over? She replied. I need someone to talk to. I'll be over in about three minuets. He answered. What's wrong? I'll tell you when you get here. She said. Just please come. At that they hung up.

Thomas arrived shortly after their talk on the phone. Rachel took him up stairs to her room and told him why she had asked him over.
I just wanted to make sure we were still friends. Said Rachel. I also wanted to say I was sorry.
Sorry for what? Replied Thomas. I'm the one who acted like a jerk. You did nothing. I'm the one who should be sorry. I guess I was just stressed. Thanks for coming over. She said. I've been miserable these past few days and being mad at you didn’t help. You and Jayson are my only real friends. I mean Molly’s great but she doesn't compare to you guys. So do want to do some more research? He asked. I feel even worse when I’m not doing anything to try and help. Sure. She replied. We could go to the library first. Sure. He answered. Then where? I don't know. She said. I guess we'll figure it out later. They then got up to leave. They searched through all the medical books and tapes again but still found nothing.
They searched for hours but nothing they hadn't seen before. So now what? Said Thomas. We basically turned that place inside out.
I know. Replied Rachel. Hey. Is it okay if we stop by the book shop? We can search for something there. Couldn't hurt to try. He answered. They walked down the block to a small shop called books by the ton. We're here. Said Rachel. I hope there's something in here that can help.

Me too. Answered Thomas. Well let's go in.

The place was cluttered with shelves of books and books were scattered all over the place. They were on the floor and in large boxes waiting to be unpacked. Over the desk was a guy in his late twenty’s reading a thick book with the title worn off the cover.
He barely noticed them come in. Excuse me. Said Rachel. Where are your medical books? Over on the right side of the store. He replied. Why? Home-work project. Said Thomas. Rachel and Thomas had decided that the were going to keep their research to themselves so that their parents wouldn't think that they were so nervous that they would lecture them for hours and tell them they couldn't visit Jayson for awhile. The clerk shrugged and went back to his book. Rachel found a ton of medical books and other things related to it. They searched for hours and hours. Night drew near and they would have to go home soon. They had decided to come back and look some more tomorrow. Tomorrow was saturday and they didn't have to be back at their home until dinner and then they could go out again and be back at around nine. Rachel looked through a large brown cardboard box before they left. She all through and found nothing until she uncovered the very bottom of the box.
There laid a book of spells called; The old language and enchantments.
She opened it and found a ton of spells inside of it. Hey Thomas. Said Rachel. What about this one. She held up the old dark blue book with a silver spine.
There won't be anything that will help Jayson in there. He replied. None of it is real.
I know. She answered. But it couldn't hurt to look. She took the book up to the clerk and payed three dollars for the used book.
She put in her book bag and left with Thomas back to their homes. She raced up stairs to her light pink bedroom and opened the book on her black wooden desk.
She moved her computer out of the way to make room for the spell book.
It was nearly midnight when she had made it to page two hundred and thirty-five before she fell a sleep with only three hundred pages left in her new found novel. She woke up early and mat Thomas outside so that they could walk to school together.
So have found anything in your book yet? Asked Thomas. No. Replied Rachel. Not yet anyways. So are we going to visit Jayson today?
I don't see why not. He replied. They walked past Mr Gary's house and discovered he wasn't there today like he normally is this time of day. I wonder if he knows about Jayson. Said Rachel. I don't know. He replied. At that they continued their walk to school. It wasn't as bad of day, knowing that they were still close friends and not mad at each other.
No one else at school seemed to care about Jayson anymore. After class, Rachel and Thomas left immediately to the hospital to visit their extremely close and best friend. The doctors still had no idea of what Jayson had. Today they gave him only a week or so to live unless[ by some miracle] he heals.
They all got forty minuets at time so people had a chance to spend time with him just in case something happens.

Rachel and Thomas got to go in after only ten minuets of waiting in the crowed pale colored waiting room. Their eyes again widened at the sight of him. He had almost no color left and had gotten really really skinny. He had trouble breathing and he no longer could even flinch. He looked like he had already passed. That they were looking at his corps
He isn't going to make it, is he? Whispered Rachel, between small streams of tears.
I don't think he is. Replied Thomas. But he could. They read the book about the mako to him again, hoping he would wake up and everything would be okay. They told everything that had happened over the past week but didn't mention their fight, just in case he really could hear them. They didn't want to trouble him any more then he already was. They stayed their whole vising time this time and once they were done they returned home and decided to look at the book store again after they had went home for an hour or so. They made their plans to meet each other outside of Thomas's house this time. After that Thomas went inside and ate quickly so he could research online for some kind of clue to Jayson's illness. He found nothing the only thing close[ that still wasn't even close] was heat stroke or the flu.
Thomas went outside and met Rachel and they walked down to the book shop on the corner of Tyme Ave. and Rose Ln. They searched for hours through every single book in the store and still found nothing.
Ugh! Said Thomas. I'm beginning to think there is no cure to what Jayson has.

Would you like to come over to my house and look through my spell book with me? Asked Rachel.
Sure. He replied. It couldn't hurt. At that they passed by the same clerk who [was reading the same book] and left the small little book shop.
They walked down to Rachel's house, passed her parents in the living room after telling them hi, they went up to Rachel's room. They took turns reading the book and looking up stuff online for about two hours trading places every half hour. Finally They had finished the spell book. They found nothing in it that would help. Rachel picked up again and noticed a page stuck to the back of the book.
She removed it carefully and read it's content. I found something! She shout whispered to Thomas. There was a page stuck to the back of it that list every symptom Jayson has and ingredients to a potion that should heal him. Thomas shut off the computer and went over to see what Rachel was talking about.
Look this list everything he has and the way to cure him. She explained.
He looked at the page and almost believed it but quickly snapped out of it.
It's make believe Rachel. He replied. I only went along with it so we wouldn't get in to another fight.
Well I’m going to try it anyways. She answered. Even it is fake and make believe, I would feel awful if it did work and we didn't try it. I would blame myself for his death. Rachel widened her eyes and looked up at Thomas.
Fine. He said. I'll help.

Rachel then thanked him and began looking over the page. It called for three maple tree leaves, The Tanlon flower, the top of a ping berry, and a single hair from the princess or queen of Tanlon. What are we going to do when we haven't even heard of over half of this weirdness of a potion? Said Thomas. Wait. Isn't Tanlon the kingdom from that book we read to Jayson? Asked Rachel.
Yeah. So? He replied. I read about a spell that would awaken the sleeping kingdom and send it's ruler to the place were the spell was conjured. We can try it if you want Said Thomas. Rachel marked the page with the potion and turned to the page with the spell they needed.
Rachel stood in the middle of her room and chanted the spell. Awaken sleeping kingdom and rise to your glory and aid us in our struggles. Metonwukonlemon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shouted Rachel. Her parents had went to the all night grocery store to pick up a few things, so she wasn't afraid to yell out the spell like it had instructed. They waited a few minuets and nothing happened, But just as they were about to give up, a flash of blinding light filled the room. When the light had vanished a girl [about eighteen] stood in it's place.
Rachel and Thomas were shocked when it worked.
Chapter 4
Who are you? Asked Thomas. My name is Rosen princess of Tanlon. The girl dressed in a light green dress with light pink lace around the skirt of dress in strips. And you are Thomas and Rachel. And I also know that your friend, Jayson, is in the hospital with a really powerful poison in him. How...? Stuttered Thomas. And how do you know what Jayson has.

Because I watched you through my dreams when I was still in the reserved sleep Tukon had placed on me and my people. She replied. I was because you three had inherited Linwonk, Ponton, and Tukon's powers. Rachel the enchantress, Thomas the healer/breaker, and Jayson the mako.
You received the sphere in your sleep the night you were all born. It took a lot of power to make sure you were all born in the same place and make sure all of your dads were transferred down here from SanFransico to this small town and make sure they never left. I was thrilled to learn you all had became friends without me introducing you.
So how do I know of the poison? Guylest had awoken the day you were born and followed you to make sure you were the worthy blood line. He had no power when he entered the real world and needed time to regain his strength and his army.
He's close to that now. He's hidden himself so I have no idea who, where, or what he is. How do we know we can trust you? Asked Rachel. I mean for all we know you could be a darkling.
True. She replied with a voice like silk. Come with me and I will transport you to my kingdom.
She then grabbed their hands and within a second they were standing in front of a large castle with roses and other flowers around the rim of it. Behind them lay a small town with little cottages and shops. Now if you need more proof I will heal Jayson and aid you in the making of the potion as soon as grab every thing we need. She vanished for a minuet and returned with a small blue bottle. I already had some made. She said when she returned. Thomas and Rachel were speechless as Rosen telaported them to Jayson's room.
When they got there it was midnight. You two did your research for awhile. Said Rosen as she opened the small dark blue bottle.
She placed a clear drop of liquid from it on her finger and said she was also going to get him caught up to speed while she was healing him. She warned them that she wasn't a healer she was an enchantress but she could do it but it would take longer. She put the drop of the potion from her index finger onto his head. Then she placed three drops into his mouth, she muttered something under her breath as she did this.
She stepped back and within seconds Jayson was awake and had color and warmth again.
It's a good thing we got here or he would have been dead within the hour. Whispered Rosen. Jayson didn’t say anything for awhile. He then sat up and said thank you. Rachel and Thomas went over to him but Rosen pulled them back and closed her eyes. When she had opened them, Doctor Song had entered the room. Hello Dr. Song Said Jayson. Where are my parents? The doctor didn't answer right away, he was stunned that Jayson had healed.
They're in the waiting room. He replied. I'm going to go tell them the good news I guess.
He then walked out and Rosen let go of Rachel and Thomas. Before you ask. Said Rosen. I enchanted Jayson and Dr. Song to believe we were lamps and made him go to the waiting room. I also filled Jayson in on everything that had happened. Rosen sounded tired after using her powers that much so quickly. I'll explain the rest tomorrow. Said Rosen. For now I’ll drop you two off and we'll meet here tomorrow after breakfast.

Around nine will do fine. Rosen, Thomas, and Rachel telaported away, just as Jayson's parents and the doctor entered the room.
Morning came and Rachel and Thomas woke up in their rooms without any memory of coming in their homes. They both thought it was some weird dream, it wasn't until they each received a call from Jayson's mother and father that knew that it actually happened. When nine o'clock came they raced to the hospital, after meeting each other at Rachel's house.
When they had got there there was still a ton of Jayson's relatives there.
They were allowed in just seconds after they arrived. When they entered, they found their friend almost completely healed The machines were no longer there and he only had tonight left in the hospital Hey guys. He said. Where's Rosen? We don't know. Answered Thomas. And I still don't know if that really happened last night at all. It could've been just a dream we all had, after hearing you were okay. How could we all have the same dream? Asked Rachel. At that Rosen appeared out of thin air. Hello. She said in a whisper. How are you? Fine. They all said at the same time. Good. She replied. And it's really nice to see Jayson has made almost a full recovery.
Yeah. He replied. I can't wait to get out of here and start my life up again.
So are you ready for me to explain? Asked Rosen. They all nodded their heads yes in response. Alright then. She said.

We are what people call magical beings such as wizards and sorcerers.
Rachel and I are enchantresses, the only different is she will one day become the strongest enchantress ever. Thomas will be the most powerful healer/breaker and Jayson is the mako, the most powerful wizard in the history of both mine and your world. Guylest, however, is the most powerful sorcerer. He's also very evil and corrupt. He also wishes to kill Jayson because you are the mako. Which means you and your friends are the only people strong enough to defeat him. He is very very close but has hidden himself, so I can no longer track him. Also I have no idea what he looks like at the moment because he has placed a camouflage spell on himself many years ago just as you three were born. He wishes to rule Tanlon and your world. He does not show mercy often nor is he ever trusted. He will do what ever it takes to destroy you three. We will train every weekend. I will also bring back with me extra trainers to help out with Jayson and Thomas, in areas that my power can't do. I will probably only be helpful to Rachel. Is this okay with you guys? Sure. Said Rachel. It's fine with me. Said Thomas. I can't wait. Said Jayson. Good. Said Rosen. Friday we will meet in the park at midnight. Do not tell anyone, Guylest could be anybody?
They all said good bye to Rosen, shortly after her instructions. So. Said Thomas. Do we still believe her? For all we know this could be a prank or [if it real] she could be Guylest. I know. Said Jayson. But we have no choice but to trust her. I guess we have to play it by ear and be prepared for what Friday holds.
Chapter 5
Sunday wasn't very long because as soon as Jayson had gotten back to his own house, his family did not let him out of their sight, just in case he had a relapse. The person who was thrilled the most to see him well again was Mary. She wasn't allowed to see him in the hospital because her parents didn't want to scare her any more then she already was. So they had her stay at a friends house all week and made sure to keep her some what updated on her brother. Jayson had to admit that he was thrilled to see her as well. All that day he played all kinds of games with her. By the end of the day they had had two tea party’s and played all thirty of their board games at least three times. This was also the first night [ in a long time] that any of them had actually gotten a peaceful sleep at their home. Monday Jayson was able to go back to school, since it appeared that his illness couldn't be passed around to anyone else. Jayson didn't mind going back to school. He actually looked forward to starting his life back up.
He met Rachel and Thomas outside of his house and they all walked to school together.
As they passed by Gary's house, they realized he wasn't there. I wonder where he is. Said Jayson.

They did not talk the rest of the way to school. When they arrived Rachel and Thomas were worried that people might crowed Jayson and ask him annoying questions over and over again. The opposite of this happened. As they walked in people whispered to themselves and tucked their faces into their shirts and some simply held their breath until they had passed them. Everyone thought that the doctor was wrong that he was healed and that the sickness could not be passed around. They felt like their lives were in danger although everyone told them that there was nothing to be worried about. Jayson felt like an outcast all through out the day. None of his other friends would even look at him. During class everybody pushed their chairs away from him. Thomas and Rachel were the only people, besides the teachers, that would go near him.
He was assigned no home-work that day because that the the teachers were told not to by his doctor, so that Jayson could rest. After school, the three friends had decided to look through the book shop to see if there were anymore spell books of any kind. They entered to the clerk as before only his time he was reading a book titled: The 8th wonder of the world. After the clerk had waved them in, they started their search. After five minuets, Rachel had found a spell book called: The wonder of potions and poisons.
Thomas had found one, ten minuets after Rachel, it was called: Powerful spells and enchantments.
Jayson found one next called: Summoning. Each book cost three dollars. They had made a deal that they all shared every spell book.
They payed and left the shop.

They went to Thomas's house to study their new books. Guys. Said Rachel. What happens if this is all real and something happens to one of us or someone very close to us? I don't know. Replied Jayson. Let's just hope nothing bad happens and that Guylest will stay hidden and never bothers us. A war is coming whether we like it or not. Said Thomas. We'll just have to live with our choices from now on. Because I don't think there's any way of getting out of this. Rachel looked down and looked at a spell book she was reading. She was getting stressed with the current topic and changed the subject quickly while they thought about their new lives. Hey. She said. Don't think it's kind of strange that a book shop had magic spells and potion books?
Thomas and Jayson didn't realize that most book stores [ including this one] don't have these kind of books and that the owners and clerks rarely ever have these types of books. I really don't know if that can be considered strange for us any more. Replied Jayson. But it is odd none the less. They read through their books, in silence, for about an half hour and then Rachel and Jayson walked back to their homes. Are scared about what's happening? Asked Rachel, as her and Jayson came upon her house.
Yeah, I guess. Said Jayson. And you? Of course I am. She answered. Who wouldn't be? I have to get inside now, bye.
Bye. He replied, as he walked down pass two house and came to his own.
He was so tired that he went straight to his room and fell asleep, without changing into his pajamas.
He slept in until nearly seven thirty, he only had half an hour to get ready for school.

He grabbed some cleaned clothes and got ready in twenty minuets. He grabbed an apple and met his two friends outside Thomas's front yard. The next few days flew by, in similar way [ except for the sleeping - in part ]. Friday arrived sooner than they had thought. That day brought on very nervous friends, who feared that they just entered something that would change their lives forever. But the question was it for the better or the worse. They walked up the steps of their school when three letters fell to their feet when no one was around.
Their names were all on a different envelope but each read the same things. They read: Dear Friends.
We will meet at the park at eleven thirty tonight. I am bringing two people with me that will serve as Thomas's and Jayson's trainers, along with whatever I can help out with. Sincerely Rosen. They stuffed the letters into their bags and decided to talk more on this later after school was over.
So. Said Rachel. I'm off to class. See you later. At that Rachel went off to her class by herself and Thomas and Jayson went to their class together. School just didn’t seem to end today, first in Rachel's science class with Jayson they had dissected a frog and Thomas in his math class had a extremely hard and long test. After school had finally ended, the three friends decided to meet at the park and decide whether they will go to meet Rosen or not. Are we still going tonight or not? Asked Jayson. Because I don't think we can get out of it.
Then we'll just have to go. Said Thomas. But there is no way our parents will let us out that late.
So, here's what we do. Said Rachel. Thomas you will have a sleep-over with Jayson at your house and just sneak out later. And I’ll make someone up and say that I’m going to a sleep-over over there but instead I’ll go to the park. Have you had this planned the whole time? Asked Thomas. Ever since we got Jayson back. She replied.

Chapter 6

Thomas called Jayson at his house to come over for a “sleep-over” at seven and Rachel informed her parents on her “sleep-over”. Rachel packed her bag four hours ahead of time and left an hour early, to find a place to sleep.
She sat on the swings with her bag at her feet, waiting for her friends. Jayson and Thomas arrived half an hour after Rachel did. Were have you two been! She complained. I thought we all were meeting here an hour early.
We had a tough time getting my parents to go to bed. Answered Thomas. They stayed up watching some chick flick my mother made my dad watch. And thanks to that we are late. Jayson looked down at Rachel's bag and began to worry what she had planned for herself to sleep that night. Hey, Rachel, he said. Where are staying tonight? On a park bench with a blanket from home and a can of pepper spray. She replied.
Before her friends could talk her out of the arrangements she had made, a flash of light appeared and with it Rosen and two men. Greetings friends. Said the soft voiced princess. These are my friends Patron and Rocktin.
The man on her left was Rocktin. He was tall and bulk. His hair was black and his eyes were blue. His skin was fair. He was to be Jayson's trainer. Patron stood on her right. He was shorter than Rocktin but taller than Rosen.

His hair was a light brown and his eyes were green with brown specks and his skin was pale with a little color in his cheeks. He was to be Thomas's trainer.
How wonderful it is to meet you. Said Patron. His voice was sounded as if he was nineteen, which in, truth, was his real age. It is a pleasure to meet the mako and his companions. Said Rocktin. He was of the age of twenty- one. His voice was low and tough but soft, sweet, and gentle at the same time. So, shall we start training? Asked Rosen. Everyone nodded in agreement. Alright. She said. Thomas and Patron can train over by the pavilion, Jayson and Rocktin can train over at the basket - ball court and Rachel and I will train on the play - ground. Rosen took Rachel over by the swing set and told her that they would work on manipulating people.
That will be the easiest for a beginner and will be of great use to you when you are at master level. What levels? Asked Rachel. There are four different levels. Rosen explained. First beginner then, semi – advanced, advanced, and then last there's master. Rocktin, Patron, me, and Guylest have been masters for years. Now let's begin. Wait. Said Rachel. What if someone see's us? They won't. Replied Rosen. I placed a cloaking spell here just before night fell. It should last for forty-eight hours. Now for manipulating me. I want you to imagine the swings moving, then use every part of your power to force that image into my head so that I am forced to see the swings move. Rachel took a minute and thirteen tries be fore she figured out the trick was not over thinking it and clearing her mind. When Rachel finally got it Rosen's eyes widened and she could not talk or look away from the swings.

Rachel began to panic that she might not be able to get the princess out of the trance. She then looked away and Rosen found her way out of the enchantment. Well... done. Said Rosen, who still looked a little shaken. Thanks. Said Rachel.

So, Jayson, I will teach you spells and curses as well as Fighting and mako special abilities, summoning weapons. Explained Rocktin. Are you ready to begin? Jayson nodded his head yes. Then let's begin. First, Jayson, think of your favorite weapon. Jayson closed his eyes and decided that a sword was his favorite type of weapon.
A sword. He replied. Now, said Rocktin. Concentrate on what your sword would look like and imagine yourself holding the weapon. It took him an hour and a half and a hundred – twenty-one try's before he could summon the sword. It had a gold handle with ruby’s incrusted in it, a long sliver blade that pierced through the handle. It was the most beautiful sword you would ever see. Now, said Rocktin. Try to wield it. Jayson was a natural at sword fighting. Him and Rocktin spared for half an hour. Now unsummon the weapon. Instructed Rocktin. Just focus on having it disappear into your hand.
He took thirty minuets before he was able to retract the sword. Thomas tonight you will learn how to heal a wound. Explained Patron.

How? Asked Thomas. Focus all your power into your finger tips than touch the wound and imagine it healing. He replied. Thomas I need to show you how, so please don't freak out when I make a small cut in your arm. But I will heal it. Thomas stuck out his arm hoping that it wouldn't hurt. Patron reached into his large brown bag and produced a long, sharp looking, knife.
He then placed the tip of the knife into Thomas's skin and pierced a long, but nit very deep cut.
Thomas winced as blood began to trickle out of his right arm. Patron then placed his right hand index finger traced the outline of the injury.
Within seconds Thomas was healed and the pain was gone. There was no sign that he was ever injured. That is amazing. Expressed Thomas. Now it's your turn. Instructed Patron. He then made a cut that was almost the same as the one he had given Thomas. Patron looked as if he was in little to no pain. Thomas healed him within one touch. That was wonderful! Exclaimed Patron, examining his arm. Now for a bigger more stressful task. He then explained. He pulled from his a longer darker more evil looking sword. The blade was black with a green stripe in the middle of the knife on either side. I will lose the ability to heal. He continued. If the poison from which the weapon holds, is left there for two days I will die a very painful death.

Within twenty-five minuets I get to were it will be a struggle to breath, move, and talk. So ,I beg of you, please hurry. I'm not ready. Said Thomas. Why on earth are you doing this for? The man who taught me did the same. He replied.

Unfortunately I healed him in half an hour into my trying. It was a panicked and painful experience for the both of us, more so for him than me. Now you get to try. Patron lifted the knife and cut his left arm open. He collapsed from the pain that immediately started. Thomas tried and tried again but he couldn't. He called for his friends and the other trainers to see if they could help.
They were all there within seconds to help revive there friend. Patron lay there struggling for ten minuets. Thomas continued trying but it wasn't working. The others looked for spells and enchantments. They all had finished their lessons but Thomas had just begun his because Patron had given him the longest intro to a class that anyone has ever heard. Twenty minuets had passed and everyone was panicked even more now that they only had five minuets before the real pain begun. Patron whispered something to Rosen. After she was done she gave Thomas these instructions.
You'll need to whisper a spell while trying to heal him and if that doesn't work take him to Tanlon to find a master healer. Thomas remembered some of what Rosen had said when she healed Jayson. Thomas tried this and finally, just before a full twenty-five minuets passed, he healed Patron.
Patron shot and took a deep breath [ which lasted for a minuet] and then congratulated Thomas for his accomplishment. That was almost perfect. He told him. With little more practice you'll have it down.
Now I think it's time to leave. Said Rocktin. We'll drop you three off as well. Where will everyone be staying? I'll be staying at Thomas's houses. Answered Jayson. And you Rachel? Asked Patron as he stood up.

On that park bench. She replied pointing at a bench across from them.
You can't. Said Rosen. If I drop any concentration the concealing spell will drop and you'll be in danger of Guylest and his darklings finding you. I have an idea were you can stay. Follow me. They all followed the young ruler of Tanlon through a small forest which was located at the beginning, end, and even a little after the park ended. In the center of the forest were four trees that had fallen do to a big storm that had happened last summer. Stand back. She instructed. She closed her eyes or minuet ti gain concentration, and after half a second her eyes flew open and the fallen trees [ along with a few stones] swirled in the air and started to make a small house looking building. There. She replied. A cottage for Rachel to stay and a place for teaching supplies, books, maps, and potions. This shall be our hiding place. Rosen did one more thing after it was built, she conjured a spell that would conceal the cottage for as long as she wished and she would not have to constantly keep focusing on the spell. Now it is time for us to leave. Said Patron, who had almost completely regained his strength and had no more need for support to walk from the others. Farewell young enchantress. Rocktin said to Rachel. See you soon. Said Rosen. Till next time. Continued Patron. Bye. Said Thomas who still couldn't believe what had happened that night.
See you tomorrow. Finished Jayson. Good night. Said Rachel, as they vanished back to their homes.

Rachel looked around and went inside the small cottage. It was a one room home and inside was Rachel's bag, a table with six wooden chairs around it, and a small bed with a quilt and some sheets laid across it. She made up the bed and locked the door for safe measure, blew out the light, laid down under her blankets, and fell asleep. She dreamed that night that all the tall tales and stories that she had ever heard or read were true.
She couldn't decide if this was a nightmare or not.
