Chapter 5
Sunday wasn't very long because as soon as Jayson had gotten back to his own house, his family did not let him out of their sight, just in case he had a relapse. The person who was thrilled the most to see him well again was Mary. She wasn't allowed to see him in the hospital because her parents didn't want to scare her any more then she already was. So they had her stay at a friends house all week and made sure to keep her some what updated on her brother. Jayson had to admit that he was thrilled to see her as well. All that day he played all kinds of games with her. By the end of the day they had had two tea party’s and played all thirty of their board games at least three times. This was also the first night [ in a long time] that any of them had actually gotten a peaceful sleep at their home. Monday Jayson was able to go back to school, since it appeared that his illness couldn't be passed around to anyone else. Jayson didn't mind going back to school. He actually looked forward to starting his life back up.
He met Rachel and Thomas outside of his house and they all walked to school together.
As they passed by Gary's house, they realized he wasn't there. I wonder where he is. Said Jayson.

They did not talk the rest of the way to school. When they arrived Rachel and Thomas were worried that people might crowed Jayson and ask him annoying questions over and over again. The opposite of this happened. As they walked in people whispered to themselves and tucked their faces into their shirts and some simply held their breath until they had passed them. Everyone thought that the doctor was wrong that he was healed and that the sickness could not be passed around. They felt like their lives were in danger although everyone told them that there was nothing to be worried about. Jayson felt like an outcast all through out the day. None of his other friends would even look at him. During class everybody pushed their chairs away from him. Thomas and Rachel were the only people, besides the teachers, that would go near him.
He was assigned no home-work that day because that the the teachers were told not to by his doctor, so that Jayson could rest. After school, the three friends had decided to look through the book shop to see if there were anymore spell books of any kind. They entered to the clerk as before only his time he was reading a book titled: The 8th wonder of the world. After the clerk had waved them in, they started their search. After five minuets, Rachel had found a spell book called: The wonder of potions and poisons.
Thomas had found one, ten minuets after Rachel, it was called: Powerful spells and enchantments.
Jayson found one next called: Summoning. Each book cost three dollars. They had made a deal that they all shared every spell book.
They payed and left the shop.

They went to Thomas's house to study their new books. Guys. Said Rachel. What happens if this is all real and something happens to one of us or someone very close to us? I don't know. Replied Jayson. Let's just hope nothing bad happens and that Guylest will stay hidden and never bothers us. A war is coming whether we like it or not. Said Thomas. We'll just have to live with our choices from now on. Because I don't think there's any way of getting out of this. Rachel looked down and looked at a spell book she was reading. She was getting stressed with the current topic and changed the subject quickly while they thought about their new lives. Hey. She said. Don't think it's kind of strange that a book shop had magic spells and potion books?
Thomas and Jayson didn't realize that most book stores [ including this one] don't have these kind of books and that the owners and clerks rarely ever have these types of books. I really don't know if that can be considered strange for us any more. Replied Jayson. But it is odd none the less. They read through their books, in silence, for about an half hour and then Rachel and Jayson walked back to their homes. Are scared about what's happening? Asked Rachel, as her and Jayson came upon her house.
Yeah, I guess. Said Jayson. And you? Of course I am. She answered. Who wouldn't be? I have to get inside now, bye.
Bye. He replied, as he walked down pass two house and came to his own.
He was so tired that he went straight to his room and fell asleep, without changing into his pajamas.
He slept in until nearly seven thirty, he only had half an hour to get ready for school.

He grabbed some cleaned clothes and got ready in twenty minuets. He grabbed an apple and met his two friends outside Thomas's front yard. The next few days flew by, in similar way [ except for the sleeping - in part ]. Friday arrived sooner than they had thought. That day brought on very nervous friends, who feared that they just entered something that would change their lives forever. But the question was it for the better or the worse. They walked up the steps of their school when three letters fell to their feet when no one was around.
Their names were all on a different envelope but each read the same things. They read: Dear Friends.
We will meet at the park at eleven thirty tonight. I am bringing two people with me that will serve as Thomas's and Jayson's trainers, along with whatever I can help out with. Sincerely Rosen. They stuffed the letters into their bags and decided to talk more on this later after school was over.
So. Said Rachel. I'm off to class. See you later. At that Rachel went off to her class by herself and Thomas and Jayson went to their class together. School just didn’t seem to end today, first in Rachel's science class with Jayson they had dissected a frog and Thomas in his math class had a extremely hard and long test. After school had finally ended, the three friends decided to meet at the park and decide whether they will go to meet Rosen or not. Are we still going tonight or not? Asked Jayson. Because I don't think we can get out of it.
Then we'll just have to go. Said Thomas. But there is no way our parents will let us out that late.
So, here's what we do. Said Rachel. Thomas you will have a sleep-over with Jayson at your house and just sneak out later. And I’ll make someone up and say that I’m going to a sleep-over over there but instead I’ll go to the park. Have you had this planned the whole time? Asked Thomas. Ever since we got Jayson back. She replied.
