Chapter 7
Jayson and Thomas felt a strange sensation as they were telaported back to their homes. Just before they new it they in Thomas's room in their sleeping bags. When they discovered were they we're they heard a good bye from three different voices. Then they fell into a uneasy sleep. When Rachel, Thomas, and Jayson woke up, they discovered a note had been placed on their pillows that read: Another training session will take place at midnight. Be prepared. Good luck. Be safe. Sincerely, Rosen. P.s. Don't let anyone read this or any of the others. We have urgent news as to who Guylest is.
See you then. They quickly got up and raced to meet each other after they had gotten ready.
They decided to talk at the cottage in the woods at the park. They ran as fast as they could to protection from the openness of the park.

They opened the stone door and sat down at a medium sized table made of wood with six tables to match. They waited for seven minuets until they appeared into the room out of thin air.
Please tell me no one followed you here. Said Rosen. Even with the enchantment if Guylest found out were we are hiding he could break it. No I don't think so. Replied Jayson. Then let's get this started. Said Rocktin. So where's Guylest. Asked Rachel. He's here in your town. Said Patron. He lives close to you, you might actually know him or at least talked to him from time to time. Who is he? Asked Rachel preparing to hear the worst. He goes by Gary Wal. Replied Rosen. The three friends eyes widened and they couldn't speak for awhile. He's Guylest. Thomas spoke first. They didn't mind that he was Guylest because they knew him forever. It was because they were in shock that they went there whole lives with out knowing or figuring it out. I can't believe we didn't see it before. Said Rachel. I mean Jayson got sick after drinking the lemonade Gary had made and him not being there when we walked to school. So let's go get him. Thomas blurted it out like it was the most natural thing to say. If you heard him you wouldn't know that he had ever known Gary his whole life. We aren't ready yet. Rachel sounded so shocked that it was him. Actually we have to attack tomorrow before he has all his power restored. He already has most of it restored from us trying to figure out who he is, we've wasted to much time already. Rocktin said that they were ready but he didn't look like he believed it. Today and tonight we shall train and then we will explained some things that have not asked yet and some you already have. Rosen looked at Jayson as she said this. Then let's get started. Said Rachel in a voice no one had ever heard. It sounded like she was in the mood to hurt someone. Rachel still hadn't fully recovered over the almost loss of one of her closest friend.
They stayed for hours and hours trying to master the new spells they learned.
Saturday flew by to fast even as they trained, they trained until there parents called them one at a time and they had to go home. Rachel left first, then Thomas, and then Jayson.
Each nervous of what tomorrow would bring. The next day they decided to spend the morning with their families and later that afternoon they hung out together until they received word that they were to meet. They sat on the swings at the park and waited and talked very little. They were still nervous about if they were ready for the fight that lies ahead. A fight with a mastered sorcerer that they may or may not come back from. After about an hour of waiting, three letters appeared out of no where and they read: Be at the cottage in three minuets for our final session before the fight. Sincerely Rosen. I guess we should leave now. Said Rachel getting up from her swing. I guess so. Jayson reapplied as he and Thomas followed her into the forest placing the notes in their pockets. They to the cottage and made it there in two and a half minuets. They stood in silence for awhile and then slowly opened the door and found their teachers already sitting there. So, when do we leave? Asked Thomas, sounding angry with a mix of depression.
In an hour. Said Patron. Are you ready? The three friends nodded very short and slightly. Then we finish making our final plans. Said Rocktin. I think that it would be best if you three go in first and make him think that you don't know. Then after awhile if things start going bad we go in there but if you can keep him at bay for a few minuets we shall attack from behind and try to get him back to Tanlon to the dungeons. They discussed this for awhile and then decided that that would be the best plan.
They waited for half an hour, to deep into thought to talk. So, said Jayson. are we ready? I guess we should. Said Rosen. But I have to give you something first. She snapped her fingers and three boxes appeared with a tag on each of them that had their names on them. Rachel, Thomas, and Jayson opened the boxes with their names on them at the same time.
Inside the boxes were armor. Rachel received a green one, Thomas got a blue one, and Jayson a gray one.
The armor was like a shirt in design. The sleeves were attached through chain mail straps.
You can just slip it over your clothes. Said Rocktin. At that they slipped into their armor and left with their trainers to face their threat that had been there forever with out them knowing, until now. Wait. Says Rocktin as they shut the door to the cottage. Stay here. He disappeared at that and then returned the next minuet with two large bundles of cloth.
He handed one to Rachel and one to Thomas. Rachel unwrapped hers first and inside was a sword with a plain silver handle.

Thomas opened his next to find a sword with a plain bronze handle. Just a little extra protection. He said. He then handed them each a belt with a holster for their swords. They then placed the belt around their wastes and then put the swords into them. They then began to walk past the trees in the forest leaving behind their safety and on to the great battle that lies ahead of them. Each of them had butterfly’s in the pits of their stomachs, they all had different reasons for them.

They hid behind a house that was up for sell across from Gary's house [ A.K.A Guylest's house] and waited for awhile. Now is the time. Said Rosen. Good luck and we shall see you soon. Rachel, Thomas, and Jayson then started to walk towards the door to their battle. They slowly rang the door bell. It rang once and Gary answered only seconds after it. Hello children. He greeted with a smile that looked some what fake. What do you need?
Um....Said Jayson. We.... This time Rachel cut him off. We were wondering if we you could help fix the whole in Thomas's costume before his cousin's birth-day party. Our parents are at work still, working late and we just wanted to see if you could help. You had once told us when we were little that your mother was a seamstress and hoped that she had taught you how to at least patch up a little hole.
He stood there for a second and scratched his gray head. I'll have to find a needle and thread but I think I can. He then lead them inside.

He told them to sit on the couch while he went to find some sewing things.
He went to the kitchen and they waited for his return. I don't think we can keep him as Gary for long. Whispered Rachel. He's bound to figure it out once he realizes that I don't have a hole in my suit or he might when he notices that it's not a costume but real armor! Shout-whispered Thomas. Why would you say that Rachel! Leave her alone. Replied Jayson. It was more than you or I could come up with. If it wasn't for her we'd probably be in a fight right now. At that Gary returns with a small sewing kit and a try with three glasses filled to the brim with lemonade. Um.... Said Rachel. Can I use your bathroom to freshen up before the party. My make-up has worn off. Sure. He replied. It's down the hall third door on the left. Thank you. She said as she stood up, leaving Jayson and Thomas with Guylest.
So. Said Gary. Where's the costume? Thomas stood up with a slight gulp. A bead of sweat formed on his fore head as Gary searched for the tear. He searched for four minuets and then stood and said, I don't see anything wrong with the outfit. In fact that feels a lot like real armor Why are you three really here? His eye brows pushed together forming a further crease in between his eyes. Jayson looked around with his eyes and spotted Rachel hiding behind a wall.
She raised her finger to her lip and made a slight shh sound that only he and her heard.
I'll ask again. Said Gary. Why are you here?! Rachel slid out from behind the wall and held out her hand. All of a sudden Gary fell to the ground and twitched violently. What's happening? Demanded Thomas. Did he give up?

No. Answered Rachel. I am making him transform back to his true form.
How? Asked the boys at the same time. I sensed that this was his disguise. She replied. As she said this Gary let out a small laugh. At this he stood up and all his wrinkles vanished replaced by smoothed skin. His hair turned dark black and he was no longer an old man but a young teenage boy. He still looked older then them. So Rosen found you. He said as he turned towards Rachel. How long have you known about your powers? He then snapped his fingers and his old sweater and worn jeans turned into a dark black t-shirt with matching jeans and a dark leather jacket. His loafers transformed into dark blue sneakers. I watched you ever since you were born. Ever since Rosen had all your parent's jobs transfer them to here to this town, just so you could train together. Little did she know that once your mothers became pregnant with you and she could watch you through her sleep that I could come here in disguise and Watch you as well. How did you do it if you were powerless? Asked Rachel matching his stare.
A few of my followers, who owed me something, gave me all kinds of potions and performed a few spells for me. Although they couldn't completely undo Tukon's spell, they still are some of my most powerful darklings. Now we could skip the fight and you could just let me use you to become the ruler of Tanlon and become immortal or you can fight and prolong the inevitable. We will never surrender to you! Shouted Jayson hoping that their teachers would hear him and come and help. So be it. Guylest snapped his fingers again and his small home turned into a large dark mansion and an army of darklings surrounded them. The whole room was silent except for the sound of a few heavy breaths.
Then all of a sudden a girl with long black hair down to her ankles jumped up from behind Thomas and pinned him to the ground. Apparently she didn't know that if he could touch her he could poison her.
He blinked once and then she rolled off of him and crumpled to the floor twitching in pain.
Now the fight began. Guylest vanished and left his darklings to fight. Rachel fought five darklings that were taller and looked stronger than her.
She took the blonde boy and the brunette girl down to their knees and they vanished but eight more took their place. They were just as tough looking as the last. She could only hold her own for so long, within five minuets she was on her knees.
She held her hands to her head and closed her eyes trying to concentrate on what she needed to do.
Please. She whispered to herself. By the time she opened her eyes she barely noticed that the blood on the floor was hers.
She had built up enough energy to take control and end half the army.
She then collapsed. This enchantment took up to much energy, strength, time and she had already lost to much blood. Jayson and Thomas were having better luck. Thomas just needed to touch someone and Jayson was very skilled in the art of sword fighting. A skill he did not know he possed.

They took care of the rest of the army but Rachel did the hard work. The boys were all ready to celebrate until they looked over and saw their friend out cold and shivering on the floor. Rachel! They both screamed this at the top of their lungs. Jayson held her up while Thomas tried and tried to heal her. She's been through a few tough curses and a breaker poisoned her. He replied. I can't do any more, Jayson. I wish that I were more advanced then I am. They both blinked back tears. Thomas. Said Jayson we need to find the others.
Thomas nodded and volunteered himself to go and look. He stepped outside and found them all at the door fast asleep. He touched their foreheads and sensed a strong sleeping spell had been placed over them as they tried to get inside to help them. He was able to heal them and soon as they awoke he explained the problem.
They all ran inside to see if Patron could help her. He looked at her, took her from Jayson and healed her within twenty minuets. It was the longest twenty minuets of their lives. She breathed easier and was some-what conscious. We'll have to regularly remove the curse . Said Patron. For at least a week it will try to grow back.
Thomas it will be your responsibility. Just say she caught the flu from a kid at school and then when you come to visit just pull out whatever part of the curse that came back. It will be easier then this. This one was a high level curse and when you pull it out it will be low level. Where's Guylest? Asked Rocktin. He vanished. Said Jayson. They placed Rachel on the floor as they looked around for the sorcerer.

They looked down stairs and upstairs. They then looked outside when they could not find him in the house. Jayson stayed with Rachel.
Thomas stepped outside and noticed something he hadn't before. The outside of the house looked the same as before.

Jayson sat next to his friend as the others continued their search. Rachel looked as if she was sleeping. She was so peaceful looking even with a curse inside of her.
Jayson looked around the room. It was large with yellow floors with a red out lining. The door remained the same as before which looked weird. The house it self was larger than before. A second story had been added. Everything is ten times larger than before. The furniture was prettier but creeper looking. It's going to be okay. He whispered to her. How sweet. Said a voice.  Guylest. Said Jayson standing up to try and see where the source to everything that happened to them stood.   Don't bother standing. Said the voice.                                   All of a sudden Jayson couldn't move. Guylest came out of the shadows of the hallway. His left hand raised. He went over to Rachel and scooped her limped body up with his right hand and still held Jayson under his control. As he lifted her up she let a small wince. He then used his other hand to completely lift the girl up, releasing the boy.
Jayson ran to catch them but before he could get there they disappered, a cloud of black smoke took their place. He looked all over but they weren't there.

He tried to call for help but his lungs and throat burned violently from the smoke.
All he could get out was a cough. This was enough. The others heard him and came back inside.
The smoke cleared as they entered revealing the old smaller home that belong to Gary.
Jayson was able to speak now and coughed out “ he's got her.” Thomas removed the smoke from his friend and helped him up. We have to go and get her. He finished. Give me a minuet. Said Rosen. Rocktin, Patron, you will take the boys to the palace and I’ll be there shortly. They then grabbed the boys hands and they too disappeared into thin air leaving nothing behind but Rosen.
